What we emphasize in suspension tuning is not the absolute amount of roll, but the roll speed to reach that point. That is, in what process does the roll occur and progress? The damping force characteristic of the damper that controls is the key to obtaining handling with a sense of unity between human and horse.

Generally, the damping force of the damper is compared by the numerical value when the piston speed is 0.3 m / s (expansion and contraction of 30 cm per second), but it is not so much in daily driving such as when riding on a big step. This is an area that does not occur. It is in the area where the piston speed is lower than 0.1 m / sec that suppresses the unpleasant roll that comes in the situation such as the entrance of a corner or the turning of the S shape. Our "Sports Damper" adopts a "High Precision Micro Low Speed ​​Valve" that generates a precise damping force from the moment the damper starts to move on the internal piston. By raising the damping force with a sharp curve from a very low speed range of 0.05 m / sec or less, we are aiming for the characteristic of responding quickly to steering operation. On the other hand, the damping force after 0.1m / sec, which causes pushing up, is gently suppressed, and the damping force on the contraction side is suppressed to a low level to give consideration to ride quality. The basis for setting the damping force is the unique damping ratio (balance between spring constant and damping force) that matches the spring constant of the mass-produced spring. The optimum setting is made by combining both.
