*To make the work process easier to understand, the shift knob is removed during the demonstration. Please perform the actual work with the shift knob still attached.
To prevent damaging the parts, attach tape to the flathead screwdriver.
Remove the cover and spring by pushing them downwards, then remove the original shift knob. The removed original parts will not be used, so please store them separately.
Install the slider (⑤) onto the selector lever, and then use the included hex wrench (⑥) to tighten the set screws (⑨) evenly on both sides until the tip contacts the recess in the selector lever.
*To prevent the set screws from loosening during use, we recommend applying a small amount of commercially available threadlocker (medium strength).
The slider is incorporated in the following order: ② sliding base → ③ lower ball.
When installing the sliding base, make sure the alignment marks match the image.
Install the dowel pin (⑧) into the sliding base.
Install the return spring (④) into the slider.
Finally, assemble the upper bowl into the sliding base so that the notch aligns with the dowel pin (with the AutoExe logo facing forward), and then tighten the cap bolt (⑦).
We've checked to make sure it's working correctly, and the job is done!
