Imabari city in the northern part of Ehime Prefecture is blessed with high-quality soft water, and is famous for producing towels that are highly absorbent and feel good on the skin. Because Imabari water has very little heavy metals and low hardness, towels can be made without damaging the fibers, which gives them a fluffy feel.
