Sometimes I go to the circuit... Sports pad for high limit areas.
The aim is to "decelerate at will" in sync with the driver's sensibilities. The direction is the same as our street brake pads, but the difference lies in the expected driving situation. We carefully selected and blended friction materials with the aim of achieving excellent controllability in harsh high-load areas such as continuous S-curves on winding roads and circuits, and full braking from straights. A metal material with excellent fade resistance is blended with a carbon material that forms a film on the rotor sliding surface and provides a moderate sliding effect. It achieves a high level of balance between the conflicting performances of frictional force and suppression of aggressiveness to the rotor. The appropriate rotor temperature is 50 to 800℃. It has been tuned to provide stable frictional force, especially in the 400-450°C range often used in sports driving. On the other hand, please note that there is a lot of brake dust and squeal.
