It connects the left and right sides of the upper part of the floor, providing a strut bar-like effect.
A strut tower bar connects the upper mounting points of the suspension to suppress body sway. Its effect is remarkable, but in utility-oriented cars such as hatchbacks and minivans, there are no strut towers in the rear suspension... so we focused on the floor itself. The "floor crossbar" is a part that connects and reinforces the left and right sides of the rear floor (the upper surface of the luggage space) with high-rigidity steel pipes. It provides an effect very close to that of a rear strut tower bar without sacrificing much of the utility of the luggage compartment. It is especially effective in hatchbacks and minivans with an open structure that does not have a partition between the rear seats and the luggage space. Because it is attached to high-strength seat mounting points, there is no concern about putting any strain on the body. From a balance perspective, we recommend installing it at the same time as a front strut tower bar.
