Combined with mass-produced dampers, it tightens the styling to a sporty look, and improves handling by lowering the center of gravity. By reducing the vehicle height by 20 mm and keeping the spring constant to about 120%, the suspension stroke is secured and comfort is also taken into consideration. >>Learn more

---------------------------
The base vehicle height is reduced by 20mm. It achieves both style and ride quality.
Mass-produced cars are designed for an unspecified number of people, so it's inevitable that they will feel high-riding due to factors such as the need to install tire chains and consideration for road clearance. If possible, owners would like to reduce the gap between the tire and the fender to make the car look lower while maintaining the ride comfort...Our "low-down springs" combine style and ride quality for such owners.
The key to development is the setting that takes into consideration the mass-produced damper that will be combined. Since the specifications on the damper side cannot be changed, everything is left to the design of the spring. For example, if the vehicle height is lowered, the center of gravity of the car will be lowered and the driving performance will improve, but if it is lowered too much, the distance between the center of gravity and the roll center will increase, and the amount of roll will increase (Figure A). Conversely, if the amount of lowering is minimal, the styling will not feel any change. Also, since the vehicle height is lower than that of mass-produced vehicles, the effective stroke of the damper is reduced, and the area where the bump stopper, which functions as part of the spring, is used increases. Therefore, careful setting is required when the spring and bump stopper are combined (Figure B). Not too low, not too hard... The specifications that we have calculated from theory and experience vary depending on the vehicle model, but the basic setting is vehicle height -20mm. The spring constant is calculated based on a unique damping ratio (balance between spring constant and damping force) to achieve natural handling without any abruptness. If you want a more natural ride feel, we recommend using it in combination with an adjustable stabilizer link, which corrects the stabilizer arm angle when the vehicle height is lowered.
