High-rigidity pipes prevent deformation of the cross member.
The "lower arm bar" suppresses deformation of the pivot (fulcrum) below the suspension. In mass-produced vehicles, the base of the left and right lower arms, which are the mounting points for the open structure suspension, are connected with highly rigid steel or aluminum pipes to suppress unnecessary alignment changes and support precise handling. In order to equalize the pressure applied to the joint surface, gussets (reinforcement plates) are placed on the mounting surface. This ensures the highest level of rigidity for a lower arm bar. As for the impact on ground clearance, which may be of concern, it only reduces it by a maximum of about 15 mm, so there is little impact on practicality. It is more effective to install it in two stages, above and below, with a strut tower bar or floor cross bar.
