Installation time: 0.2 hours or more
Difficulty: ★★☆☆☆
・Hand protection such as work gloves
・Parts cleaner
・Phillips head screwdriver
・A thin object such as a flathead screwdriver
①Pull out the ventilation hose from the original air hose.
Insert a pointed object such as a flat-head screwdriver into the ventilation hose's socket to create a gap, spray it with parts cleaner and pull it out.
*If parts cleaner gets into the engine, it may cause a breakdown. Please be careful not to spray too much.
②Remove the original air hose
*When installing the AutoExe intake suction kit, please align the hose clamp direction and screw position with the original air hose position.
Loosen the bolts on the hose clamps on both ends with a Phillips head screwdriver to the maximum extent possible, and remove the OEM air hose from the vehicle. The removed hose clamps will be reused. Be careful not to drop them in the engine compartment or lose them.
③Remove the hose clamp from the genuine air hose.
The genuine hose has a positioning protrusion, so you need to crush it to remove the hose clamp.
④ Install the intake suction kit
Pass the hose clamp through the intake suction body in the same direction as the genuine hose, and install it so that it faces the same direction as the genuine hose. (The AutoExe logo faces up.)
⑤ Attach the ventilation hose
Align the hose clamp bolts in the same position as the original parts, and tighten them with a Phillips head screwdriver or similar tool with moderate force (tightening torque: 2.5-3.4 Nm). Finally, spray parts cleaner on the ventilation hose and insert it.
