It connects the left and right sides of the upper floor, creating a tower bar effect.
Strut tower bars connect the upper mounting points of the suspension, preventing the body from opening up. While this effect is significant, vehicles designed with utility in mind, such as hatchbacks and minivans, do not have strut towers on their rear suspensions...hence, we focused on the floor itself. The "floor crossbar" is a reinforced part that connects the left and right sides of the rear floor (top of the luggage space) with high-rigidity steel pipes. It achieves an effect similar to that of a rear strut tower bar without sacrificing much of the luggage space's utility. Its effectiveness is particularly significant for open-top hatchbacks and minivans, which do not have a partition between the rear seats and luggage space. Because it is attached to high-strength seat mounting points, there is no concern about strain on the body. For balance reasons, we recommend installing it together with a front strut tower bar.
